Now it begins
Rumours in football circles here suggest that clubs who missed out on a Liga Super place for next season have began furiously lobbying for an expansion of the Liga from 18 clubs to 20.
I have a better suggestion. Keep the same format as now, add 8/10/12 clubs to each Division and keep football in the stone age!
Notable names who missed out include PSIS, Persebaya, PKT and PSS.
Another rumour is that the Liga begins in July 2008 and will continue until April 2009. I really hope that one is bollocks because, in case memories are short among the football types who run the game here, for teams to compete in the next Asian Champions League, they need to be announced before the draw takes place. In December.
