Christian Gonzalez - Persik
32 year old Uruguayan Gonzalez is set to be the Liga Indonesia's top scorer for the third consecutive season. In 2005 he netted 25 goals while in 2006 when Persik were champions he scored 29.
Memorably described as a Mark Viduka without the workrate during the regular season 2007 the barrel chester striker scored an impressive 31 goals in 29 games and stands on the verge of beating Peri Sandria's record of 34 for Bandung Raya in 1995.
Gonzalez started his carrer as a youth with Uruguayan giants Penarol before moving to South America. In 1995 he signed for Huracan de Carientes in Argentina where he spent three years before returning to South America in 1998 when aged 21.
In 2000 he moved to Sport Maldonado before heading to Portugal i n 2001 where he signed for Compo Mayor.
He hit these shores in 2003 when he joined PSM and after a couple of years there he signed for Persik in 2005.
In his time in Indonesia he has twice been Liga runner up, with PSM, and once winner, last year, with Persik. As well as netting goals for fun.
