The SLeague
I'm off to Singapore this weekend to take in some SLeague games as well as maybe up to KL for a couple of Asian Cup ties as well as visiting the best Indian restaurant in Asia, The Kashmir...
Tampines lie second, two points behind leaders Home United with a game in hand. Geylang lie 8th in the 12 team SLeague.
This season has three foreign teams in the league, Albirex Niigata FC, Liaoning Guangyuan FC and Korean Super Reds FC. The latter two are also the bottom two teams in the league after some 14 games.
Last night Geylang lost 1-0 at home to Young Lions in front of 2,500 fans. Tampines haven't played since 14th June and are on a run of 5 games unbeaten.
I like the look of Tampines. They play in yellow and have a stag as their badge - a
tropical Mansfield Town though easier to get to I imagine.
