Sod the Champions League
There's a cracking line up of fixtures this week.
Tomorrow sees cellar dwellers Tangerang City host the team above them on goal difference Sleman who are pitiful on the road. Just one point out of 6. You would expect City to get a result here but ... they can't hit the back of the net. Three goals all season and one third of them were own goals!
In the Puncak Derby Bandung travel to Cibinong to play Bogor Divsion. Bogor may be mid table and not exactly setting the world alight but they're a tough nut to crack. They've lost twice all season, same as pacesetters Medan and Jakarta and are unbeaten at home.
On Wednesday Jakarta can go top if they beat Semarang at Jatidiri. The way the Kemayoran Lions are playing at the moment they fancy their chances against anyone and this season's Semarang lack the consistancy of last years model though Julio Lopez is coming into some form.
On Thursday Kediri will fancy adding to their goals for tally at home to hapless Pelita Jaya. Tangerang could go second if they beat Malang away and both Jakarta and Bandung lose. Big ifs, Tangerang don't travel to well. Talking Malang, Arema host Solo in another intriguing fixture.
So if you don't mind, I'll pass on those 3 am kick offs involving Liverpool, Bayern etc. Persija Jakarta could go into the weekend top of the league!
